Your photos never leave your Drive

TrailAtlas does not host your photos. When you upload or import, the image files go into a folder in your own Google Drive, created with the narrowest permission Google offers (the app can only see files it created itself). Your trip page displays them directly from Drive. Delete the folder in Drive and the photos are gone — we never had a copy.

What we do store

• Account: your name, email and avatar from Google sign-in.
• Trips: titles, descriptions, route points, and photo metadata — where and when each photo was taken, its caption, and a reference to the file in your Drive.
• Billing: payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card number; we store only a subscription reference so we know your page is paid for.

This data lives in Google Firebase (Firestore). We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't use third-party analytics trackers.

Who can see your trip

Your trip page is visible to anyone with the link only while hosting is active — you choose when to publish, and canceling makes the page private again. Draft trips are visible only to you and people you invite.

Deleting your data

You don't need to ask us. From your dashboard you can cancel a subscription, delete any trip (page, pins and metadata are removed immediately), or delete your whole account — which removes every trip, cancels every subscription, and erases your profile. Photo files remain safely in your own Google Drive, untouched, because they were never ours.
